Character actor Michael Massee died yesterday at 61. While the actor’s long career included roles in Seven, The X-Files, 24, and The Amazing Spider-Man, Massee’s career will forever be linked to his role as Funboy in Alex Proyas’ The Crow. During an accident on set, Massee accidentally shot and killed actor Brandon Lee, an incident which forever altered Massee’s life and career. After a long sabbatical from acting, Massee slowly amassed an impressive resume across both TV and film. As of yet, there’s no word on a cause of death.

Mad Max: Fury Road was one of the best movies of 2015 or, really, ever. For as awesome as it was, however, director George Miller has long hyped a definitive, black and white version of the film that has, until now, gone unseen. The “Black and Chrome” version of the Mad Max classic is available to stream now on Amazon Prime, offering the chance to finally see Miller’s original version of the stunning film. For those who’d rather have a physical copy of the film, the new version will be available to own on December 6th.

‘The Incredibles 2’ and ‘Toy Story 4’ Swap Release Dates

the-incredibles

Pixar has announced a release date swap for its two biggest franchises. The Incredibles 2, originally slated for a 2019 release, has been pushed up to June 15, 2018; Toy Story 4, meanwhile, has been pushed to June 21, 2019, back from its original 2018 release date. That’s good news for fans of The Incredibles, who’ve been clamoring for a sequel to the superhero family film since the original dropped in 2005, which earned its director, Brad Bird, an Oscar and took home an impressive $633 million worldwide. No reason has been given for the swap.

Latest J.J. Abrams Project Is A ‘Cloverfield’ Sequel

10 Cloverfield Lane

J.J. Abrams has always been known for secrecy, but it would appear that he’s having a harder time keeping cats in his bags. The Wrap is reporting that the producer’s latest project, God Particle, is fact intended to be the latest film in the loosely connected Cloverfield series. While neither Abrams nor his production company, Bad Robot, has directly confirmed the news, The Wrap cites studio insiders who confirm this news and the fact that Paramount has plans to release a new film in the series every year. This comes on the heels of this year’s 10 Cloverfield Lane, originally titled The Cellar, which Abrams described as a “blood relative” of 2008’s Cloverfield. He also stated his intent to turn the series into an anthology of sorts, without fully explaining just what he intended that to mean. Both movies share loose connections—Slusho products—though whether or not the narratives are intended to converge is up in the air. Perhaps we’ll learn more about the intent when God Particle, or whatever they’re going to call it now, is released on February 24, 2017.
