Neil Young Returns To Massey Hall -Jonathan Demme To Film

Neil Young will return to Toronto’s Massey Hall (the venue of  his acclaimed Live At Massey Hall recording). Young will be performing for two nights- May 10th and May 11th – as the concerts are also scheduled to be captured on film by director Jonathan Demme, as the final installment in a concert film trilogy, joining 2006’s Neil Young: Heart of Gold and 2008’s Neil Young Trunk Show.

In other Neil Young news Shout! Factory will release A MusiCares Tribute to Neil Young.

The new DVD/Blu-ray disc captures the 2010 MusiCares gala honoring Young as Person of the Year, and features a stacked roster of artists, including Elvis Costello, Dave Matthews, Wilco, and Lady Antebellum paying tribute to the music legend. Young was honored for his body of work, as well as his philanthropic efforts over the years.

Proceeds from the sales of the DVD/Blu-ray will go to MusiCares, which gives musicians in need financial and medical assistance.
