Pixies Embark On Lost Cities Tour

The Pixies have extended their worldwide tour celebrating the 20th anniversary of their 1989 classic second album, "Doolittle" — which is now, er, 22 — to include cities they’ve never played.

Dubbed the "Lost Cities" tour (which will be the fourth leg of the "Doolittle" trek), Pixies will play gigs in previously-missed cities like Wilmington, Del., Knoxville, Tenn., and Santa Fe, N.M.

This string of dates kicks off October 27 in Montclair, New Jersey and will follow the tour’s previous format, in which the band plays all of "Doolittle," a few b-sides, and, as encores, select numbers from the rest of its catalog. So if you’re lucky, not only will you hear "Doolittle" classics like "Here Comes Your Man" and "Wave Of Mutilation," but also "Where Is My Mind?" from debut album "Surfer Rosa."
