Cloud Seeding‘s "Ink Jar (feat. Marissa Nadler)" music video was filmed this summer in two locations by director Christopher Arcella. Arcella filmed the live-action scenes at manhattan bar & art gallery BabyGrand. Model Vera Balyura, who runs the eclectic East Village jewelry shop VERAMEAT, and actor Raymond Lorini star. The close-ups of the flower and Non-Newtonian fluid shots were filmed in Bed-Stuy at the director’s studio. The visual effects were achieved by sending sound waves though a subwoofer connected to a pan filled with Oobleck (Non-Newtonian fluid).
Christopher Arcella spent over a year working part-time at the office of independent filmmaker Jim Jarmusch. He finished his first feature film, Giver Taker Heartbreaker, in 2009 and has been showing his work at many film festivals including Indie Lisboa, San Francisco International Film Festival, Scanners Video Festival by the Film Society of Lincoln Center, Rooftop Films, Rural Route Film Festival at the Museum of the Moving Image, and at Brooklyn Arts Council International Film Festivals.
The Cloud Seeding single for "Ink Jar" has been getting some airplay on KEXP, WNYU, WZBC and CHIRP Radio and is a top-selling track at NYC’s Other Music. The limited edition CD release is now SOLD OUT. Bleek Records has re-pressed a regular version of the single, which is now available for pre-order at the band’s Bandcamp page.

For the first single, Serra worked with Boston-based singer Marissa Nadler while she was briefly living in Brooklyn just a few blocks away. The single was recorded and mixed in Green Point at Cedar Apffel’s (Natureboy/Masterface) studio and was mastered at Salt Mastering.
Serra is currently working with other vocalists and intends to release future Cloud Seeding singles and is happy to announce he will be working again with Marissa Nadler on more tracks.
