Jesse Hughes Debuting Boots Electric

Mustachioed madman and frontman of Eagles of Death Metal, Jesse Hughes will release his debut solo album as Boots Electric on Dangerbird Records today. September 20th.  He has also assembled a crew of some of LA’s eclectic rockers to take the Boots Electric material on the road.  Titled Honkey Kong, the album was produced by Tony Hoffer (Beck, Depeche Mode, The Kooks) and co-written with legendary keyboardist Money Mark, best known for his many collaborations with the Beastie Boys.

As these collaborators suggest, Hughes is showing a whole new side of himself that was only hinted at with his work in Eagles of Death Metal.  His new material, as Boots Electric, explores a more keyboard-heavy, danceable sound and oozes more of Hughes’ beloved swagger than ever before.
