The XPoNential Festival, sponsored by Subaru, kicked off Friday July 28th on the Camden NJ Waterfront. The three day event, hosted by WXPN, the award winning member supported radio station of the University of Pennsylvania. It was back in 1994 when they hosted their very first outdoor music festival, called the Singer-Songwriter Weekend in Philadelphia. The festival has evolved over the years, including a few name changes and a new home on the Jersey side, but it’s the eclectic list of 30 plus artists, performing on three stages that are drawing people to this event. This years lineup has a little bit of something for everyone as bands on the bill included Spoon,Wilco,Drive By Truckers,Angel Olsen, Conor Oberst,Foxygen,The Suffers, Sweet Spirit,Preservation Hall Jazz Band,Strand of Oaks and more.
