Esteemed singer-songwriter Dar Williams is set to release her ninth studio album, In The Time Of Gods, on Razor & Tie on Tuesday, April 17, 2012. Dar’s first album of original material in four years is produced by Kevin Killen (who has worked with such giants as U2, Elvis Costello, and Peter Gabriel), and features special guests Shawn Colvin and Larry Campbell, and a remarkable set of musicians including Charley Drayton, Gerry Leonard, and Rob Hyman.
Williams presents 10 new compositions on In The Time Of Gods, which explores many of today’s most challenging social issues told against the parables of Greek mythology. Williams notes, "We are evolving in time. And that’s what you’re allowed to do with mythology – let it evolve and show who your Parthenon is now." She will kick off a national U.S. tour starting in April 2012 (upcoming confirmed tour dates are listed below).

To preview the album, Williams released yesterday lead single, "I Am The One Who Will Remember Everything." Keeping with the sonic aesthetic forged on her last record The Promised Land and delving into socially-conscious subject matter, Williams exerts her deft songwriting hand while breaking new ground.
