St. Paul and the Broken, Rhiannon Giddens Top 31st Annual Tibet House Benefit

One of the longest-running and most renowned live cultural events in NYC, the 31st Annual Tibet House US Benefit Concert returns to The Stern Auditorium / Perelman Stage at Carnegie Hall on March 3, 2018 at 7:30PM for an evening full of amazing music and one-night-only collaborations. Joining esteemed composer and artistic director Philip Glass, who once again curated this year’s line-up, will be the widely praised high-voltage, soul-based rock unit St. Paul and the Broken Bones, singer-songwriter and co-founder of the GRAMMY Award-winning string band Carolina Chocolate Drops Rhiannon Giddens, the empowering all-female group choir Resistance Revival Chorus that was born out of the Women’s March on Washington and launched in Summer 2017 as a response to the Trump presidency, and Tibetan folk and freedom singer Techung. Spanning more than three decades of unforgettable live shows, the Tibet House US Benefit Concert has supported the preservation of Tibetan culture and human rights and this year’s show will be especially powerful amongst today’s social and political climate, delivering a message of hope and unity.

Proceeds support the work of Tibet House US, a non-profit educational institution and cultural embassy founded in 1987 at the request of His Holiness the Dalai Lama to ensure the survival of the unique Tibetan civilization.
