EELS Set To Release ‘The Deconstruction’ April 6th

The Deconstruction, the new album from EELS, is set for release April 6 via E Works/PIAS. Listen to the title track from the album, the twelfth from the long-running rock outfit and their first in four years –

“Here are 15 new EELS tracks that may or may not inspire, rock, or not rock you,” frontman E (a.k.a. Mark Oliver Everett) says of the new album. “The world is going nuts. But if you look for it, there is still great beauty to be found. Sometimes you don’t even have to look for it. Other times you have to try to make it yourself. And then there are times you have to tear something apart to find something beautiful inside. ”

To celebrate the release, EELS will tour worldwide this summer, with a North American headline run kicking off May 28 in Pomona, CA and further shows in Los Angeles, Seattle, Chicago, New York, D.C. and more. See below for full tour details.

The album was performed by E and longtime collaborators Koool G Murder and P-Boo, alongside The Deconstruction Orchestra and Choir, and produced by E, with some songs produced by Mickey Petralia for the first time since 1998’s Electro-Shock Blues.
