The Drums announce North American spring tour dates in support of their critically acclaimed album, Portamento.
The tour kicks off April 21 in Washington D.C. and continues through May 14th at the El Rey Theatre in Los Angeles. Craft Spells and Part Time will support The Drums on the road.
The Drums have also released a new video for their single “Days.” A stand out track for its sparse thorny guitar, foreboding harmonies and crest-fallen sentiment, the track perfectly showcases The Drums’ knack for making the melancholy feel so alluring and cathartic. The single also includes previously unreleased b-side "I Don’t Want to Go Alone."
Frontman Jonny Pierce explains: "The song is about that moment when you realize that you are someone different from what you once were. Different needs, different desires. Different hopes and fears. We were lucky enough to have a special guest in our video who is a dear friend and a radiant symbol of being true to who you know you are and moving away from a dark past."
The Drums will also take over SXSW in Austin, TX beginning March 14th.
