Deer Tick will be curating three Newport Folk Fest after parties at the Newport Blues Cafe on July 27-29. There are going to be some very special guests announced in the weeks leading up to NFF, and all proceeds of these benefit shows will go to the Newport Festivals Foundation and Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation.
These intimate late night bashes were a big hit at 2011’s Newport Folk…some of the guests included Dawes, Delta Spirit’s Matt Vasquez, M. Ward for a brief "La Bamba" guitar solo. The afterparties are on sale now at http://www.newportblues.com/,
