Cloud Nothings Announce New LP ‘Last Building Burning’ & Tour

The Cleveland four-piece Cloud Nothings is back to announce their fifth full-length studio album, Last Building Burning to be released October 19th via Carpark Records. The new album is a culmination of the development of frontman Dylan Baldi’s ever-changing sound, following up 2017’s Life Without Sound with a new record that sees the band continue to outdo themselves and solidify themselves as a stalwart in modern rock music.

In conjunction with the announcement, Cloud Nothings is sharing a new song off of the upcoming album. “The Echo Of the World” serves as the band’s statement of intent to bring a heavier sound back to rock music. The track sees the band playing at their most furious pace to date, curating an unhinged, guitar-heavy sound that positions them as the torchbearers of the rapid-fire rock of the past, all while paving their own lane to success. The band is also announcing their fall tour, which kicks off with a performance at the Java Rockin’land festival in Jakarta and spans across North America with 35 dates beginning on October 22nd. Tickets will be available on Friday at 10 AM local time via www.cloudnothings.com.

Last Building Burning is an extension of the band’s live performances, capturing the frenetic energy that’s characteristic of their shows and infusing the jagged unpredictability of guitars that Baldi feels is missing in modern rock today.

“I’m obsessed with the idea of energy at the moment,” Baldi says about the making of Last Building Burning. “That’s how I thought of this record: seven short, and one long, bursts of intense, controlled chaos. I wanted to make that come across in a way that can actually be felt.”
