VIDEO PREMIERE: Andy Frasco & the U.N. Get Spiritual With Boogie Gospel Tune “Change of Pace”

Formed in Los Angeles in 2013, Andy Frasco & the U.N. consists of Frasco (lead vocals, piano), Andee Avila (drums), Shawn Eckels (Guitar), Ernie Chang (Saxophone), and Chris Lorentz (Bass). Their sound has been described as “rock fueled by reckless abandonment and a disregard for the rules.”

To date, Andy Frasco & the U.N. has released a number of studio albums including Half a Man (2014), and Happy Bastards (2016). Last year, they released their first live album (CD and DVD) entitled “Songs From The Road”, which was recorded in August 2016 at the Tucher Blues and Jazz Festival in Bamberg, Germany.

Their live show is one of the most entertaining and fun performances on the road today. Since their inception, Andy Frasco & the U.N. have toured the U.S., China, and Europe, and performed at a number of popular festivals, including Electric Forest, Jam Cruise, Rock Boat and Mountain Jam. Known for their epic live shows and seriously infectious sound, Andy Frasco and his band, the U.N., recently released their newest single, “Change of Pace.” Frasco’s new album, of the same name is set for release on February 22 of next year.

Today Glide is premiering the new video for “Change of Pace”, which is a feel-good tune that speaks to the humanity in all of us. Kicking off with a clapped anthem, Frasco shows off his soulful chops as he taps into a gospel groove that becomes more lively as the band explodes into a party of organ, piano boogie, and brass. The song itself is sometime of an ode to touring and the positive experiences that come from life on the road and bringing joy to people through music. It also captures the loose and lively party atmosphere of the band’s live shows, which are known for turning into a religious tent revival crossed with a balls to the wall kegger. Frasco himself describes “Change of Pace” as “a song about finding your balance in life. If you feel like your life is swinging too far to one side of the spectrum, it’s okay to take a step back every now and then to try something new.”

In talking about the video he shares his thoughts, saying, “I wanted to make a music video about friendship and the importance in it. True connections are hard to come by and when you finally get one, it’ll always be there for you, even through the hard times. My editor, Richard Martinez from Analigital and I show wanted to really show that no matter the distance, true friends stay together through all the change of pace.”

Andy Frasco & the U.N. will be touring in 2019. For more music and info visit andyfrasco.com.
