Matisyahu has announced today that he will be taking his annual Hanukkah celebration, “Festival of Light” on tour this Winter. “Festival of Light”–traditionally eight shows on the east coast–for the first time in its history kicks off on the West Coast with An Acoustic Evening With Matisyahu live at the Nob Hill Masonic Center in San Francisco, and features additional acoustic performances in Stroudsburg, PA and at the newly re-opened Capitol Theatre in Port Chester, NY. The full band joins Matisyahu for Festival of Light performances in Philadelphia, Washington DC, and a special performance at New York City’s Terminal 5. Tickets go on-sale on to the public on Friday, October 12th.
This year’s “Festival of Light” will offer audiences a career-spanning look at Matisyahu’s lauded catalogue. The shows will feature his classic hits, songs off Spark Seeker as well as Matisyahu’s hand-picked selections for his fans. Matisyahu has created a custom-built live experience for his audiences during each of these seven performances. Four of his seven shows are intimate acoustic performances and for the remaining three, Matisyahu will be backed by his talented band, Brooklyn’s The Dub Trio.
