2007: The Year of the Reunion?

It looks like The Police isn’t the only band discussing reunion plans in 2007.

Van Halen has been selected for induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, and you know what that usually means. The induction ceremony takes place in New York City on March 12th, giving the band three months to figure out which former frontman they want to trot out on stage. Other inductees include REM, The Ronettes, Grandmaster Flash and the Furious Five, and Patti Smith.

We’re extremely interested to see which man takes the stage when Van Halen is honored. Sammy Hagar? David Lee Roth? Both? Gary Cherone? And will Alex and Eddie Van Halen let bassist Michael Anthony play, or will they replace him with 15-year-old Wolfgang Van Halen? Either way, there’ll be more conflict in New York that night than in a typical season of The Real World. We’re excited, stay tuned…

  1. I’ll take David Lee Roth over Sammy Hagar any day – Sammy Hagar is a Jimmy Buffet/ Toby Keith wannabe – sloppy tequila drinking bozo

  2. David Lee Roth & his former band members of Van Halen are one of the greates ever rockin roll bands in the world and of course my favorite. After seeing the live in Halifax,NS, Canada, they given me some of the best memories of my life and I thank them for that. For me it is heart breaking to not see these mature men get back to bussiness and finish what they started.

P.S. Dave & Ed at least do for your millions of fans.

    Sincerely

    Patrick
