SONG PREMIERE: Ryan Hamilton and The Harlequin Ghosts (With Co-Writer Steven Van Zandt) Unleash Powerful Rocker “Mamacita”

Ryan Hamilton and The Harlequin Ghosts are gearing up for a  very busy 2019 with many surprises in store. Ryan’s 2017 melodically rocking song, “Fuck You Brain” caught the attention of Wicked Cool honcho Steven Van Zandt, who added it to his Underground Garage playlist, along with half the songs from did Ryan Hamilton and The Traitors’ 2017 album The Devil’s In The Detail, the first album from the band prior to the name change. Ryan is the bands only American, with the rest hailing from the U.K. His classic rock influences combined with a bit of country music from growing up in a small town outside Fort Worth, Texas laid the foundation on which Ryan Hamilton and The Harlequin Ghosts formed. Core members Mickey Richards (drums) and Rob Lane (bass) were the rhythm section from the British touring incarnation of People On Vacation, and when they play as a five-piece, the lineup is rounded out by Carol Hodge (keyboards and backing vocals) and Dave Winkler (lead guitar). Ryan is no rookie to the music world, after stints in the bands People On Vacation (with Bowling For Soup’s Jaret Reddick) and Smile Smile, and collaborating on “Fuck You Brain” with Ginger Wildheart of the legendary U.K. hard rock bank The Wildhearts.

Glide is proud to premiere the new single “Mamacita” which is the latest track off the band’s forthcoming album, their debut for Wicked Cool Records, which will be released this spring. Details to be announced tomorrow (3/29). With this chugging track, Ryan Hamilton and The Harlequin Ghosts offer a bygone brand of rock that thrusts and quivers, unleashing go-getting electricity.

“I think this song really captures all the ingredients that make our band sound the way it does,” says Hamilton. “My Texas, small town Country roots. My British bandmates. The direction of Stevie Van Zandt (who also co-wrote the song)…and a collective love for rock n roll. I’m super proud of this tune, and I think it’s a killer way to kick off what I am sure is the album of my career…so far
