Andrew Bird Showcases “My Finest Work Yet” At Brooklyn’s National Sawdust (PHOTOS/RECAP)

Andrew Bird brought his latest album My Finest Work Yet to an intimate audience at Brooklyn’s eclectic art hub National Sawdust on April 9, 2019. The sold-out two-night stand was part of Bird’s set of intimate dates around the US before launching into a larger tour in much larger venues.

The show was presented in two parts with the quintet playing Side A of the new album, then working in some of Bird’s previous work, followed by Side B of the new album, followed by a two-song encore. In the case of this particular show, the audience also was treated to a special impromptu third encore song, a Duke Ellington cover that showcased the full range Bird and his excellent band bring to his own songs and then some.
