Green Day Plans New Arena Shows

Green Day has a new set of shows announced Having postponed a road trip that was to launch in January, the band announces a new plan for 2013.  After it was previously announced that Billy Joe Armstrong was to undergoe treatment for substance abuse, Green Day canceled a series of club dates scheduled for the fall, an appearance at New Orleans’ Voodoo Festival and postponed a tour that was to begin in January in Green Bay, Wis.

The newly released schedule includes dates on the East Coast and in the Midwest as well as a couple of shows in Canada. The announcement also promises that “additional West Coast dates will be announced in early 2013.”

March 31 – Pittsburgh, Pa., Consol Energy Center
April 1 – Rochester, N.Y., Blue Cross Arena
April 3 – Philadelphia, Pa., The Liacouras Center
April 4 – Fairfax, Va., Patriot Center
April 6 – Uncasville, Conn., Mohegan Sun Arena
April 7 – Brooklyn, N.Y., Barclays Center
April 9 – Providence, R.I., Dunkin’ Donuts Center
April 11 – Toronto, Ontario, Air Canada Centre
April 12 – Quebec City, Quebec, Quebec Colisee Pepsi
