Passion Pit Brings Its ‘Manners’ To New York City’s Pier 17 With Help From The Beaches (PHOTOS)

Passion Pit brought the 10th anniversary tour in support of landmark record Manners to New York City’s Pier 17 on May 19. Opener The Beaches helped ramp up the energy at the venue, surrounded by a stunning backdrop of the Lower Manhattan skyline, the Brooklyn Bridge and the East River.

As nightfall took hold and building lights flickered on, Passion Pit singer Michael Angelakos burst onstage to raucous applause as the band rolled through Manners. (It also happened to be Angelakos’ birthday, which was the cause for even more cheers.) And the singer proved the consummate performer, effortlessly bounding across the stage on “Little Secrets” and thrusting the mic into the crowd to sing along to “Moth’s Wings.” Check out photos from the gig below by Killian Young
