The Lumineers and Jade Bird Open Up Denver’s New Mission Ballroom (PHOTOS)

“Denver based band the Lumineers made history on Wednesday night as they became the first band ever to headline Denver’s brand new state of the art concert venue, The Mission Ballroom. The energy in the room was palpable and the band didn’t disappoint their faithful fans as they kicked out a high energy 22 song set including a triple encore that closed the show with “Stubborn Love”  The Lumineers were supported by English singer-songwriter Jade bird.

As great as the band played, and as much fun as the crowd had, the real superstar of the night just might have been The Mission Ballroom itself. The Mission, which is operated by AEG presents, has a capacity of a little over 2000, to just under 4000, and with it’s first of a kind movable stage, the room can be made to create a completely intimate atmosphere no matter how many fans are in the building.
