Bob Dylan will be touring with My Morning Jacket and Wilco this summer as the Americanarama Festival of Music.
An announcement for the tour appeared on Dylan’s website today, alongside the festival’s logo, with a slogan "Meet me there – Beat me there!" In addition to Dylan and his band and the other two headliners, additional artists including the Richard Thompson Electric Trio and Ryan Bingham will be joining the show at select venues.
My Morning Jacket’s Jim James first dropped news of the tour on Thursday night in a Record Store Day preview interview with the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, saying that his band would be touring with Dylan and another "beloved band."
Dylan’s website lists 26 dates with Wilco and My Morning Jacket, beginning on June 26th in West Palm Beach, Florida and wrapping up in Mountain View, California on August 4th. Pre-sale tickets will be available starting Wednesday morning, April 24th. Full details about the North American tour are expected to emerge at noon on Monday.
