LISTEN: Trey Anastasio Joins Dave Matthews & Tim Reynolds For “Bathtub Gin” & “Waste” In Mexico

Fresh off a successful two-night comeback run with the neo-psychedelia supergroup Oysterhead, Phish guitarist Trey Anastasio joined Dave Matthews & Tim Reynolds onstage at the Moon Palace Hotel in Riviera Maya, Mexico on February 16th to help deliver a pair of Phish classics, “Bathtub Gin” & “Waste”. Anastasio’s appearance marks the first time he has publicly performed with Dave Matthews since a 2018 benefit at New York City’s Radio City Music Hall. Both songs featured all three musicians on acoustic guitars while Messrs. Anastasio & Matthews traded lead vocals, as has often been the case when they perform together. Anastasio is in town to prepare for a four-night series of Phish concerts at the same resort where Dave & Tim just wrapped up a three-night run of their own. Phish will perform for four straight nights on the beach, including a welcome set on Thursday night (2/20) and a special early evening start time on Sunday.
