RIP to the great Little Richard who passed away May 9th, 2020 at the age of 87. With his outrageous stage presence and electrifying piano chops, Richard brought new rhythms and unrelenting energy that was unlike anything had ever seen at the time. Any musical artist who dared to defy convention and let one’s inner talent show its freak flag was inspired by this musical genius.
What can I say? He didnt just open the door, he refused to even acknowledge the door and in the process blew it to pieces. Rock n roll. Tonite’s livestream show will be for Richard. https://t.co/6iQe1BrYiJ

Rest In Peace Little Richard. Architect of Rock n Roll. Originator. Innovator. Influencer.
He was also a part of one of the great nights of my life/career, 30th GRAMMY Awards in NYC 1988 -creating a legendary TV moment. Condolences to his family/ loved ones -we thank you ???? pic.twitter.com/txughrHpoK— Jody Watley (@jodywatley) May 9, 2020
