The Bird and The Bee Release Amazon Original Cover of AC/DC’s “You Shook Me All Night Long”

On the 40th anniversary of the release of AC/DC’s most commercially successful album Back In Black, The Bird And The Bee have released an Amazon Original cover of AC/DC’s “You Shook Me All Night Long,” which is available to stream and purchase only on Amazon Music.

“I just love AC/DC so much,” says Inara George, one half of the indie-pop duo. “I can’t believe that ‘Back in Black’ is turning 40. And still they are just one of the best rock bands around. When Greg and I were asked to make this cover we couldn’t pass it up. And I guess that’s just our thing. Haha.”

The indie-pop duo The Bird and The Bee is comprised of vocalist Inara George, who in 2018 released her critically-acclaimed fourth solo album Dearest Everybody, and seven time GRAMMY Award winner Greg Kurstin. Kurstin was awarded Producer of the Year (Non-Classical) in 2017 and 2018 and has worked on iconic albums like Adele’s 25, Beck’s Colors, Paul McCartney’s Egypt Station, Halsey’s Manic and Sia’s hit singles “Cheap Thrills” and “Chandelier.” The duo have released multiple albums of covers honoring their classic rock heroes most recently with last year’s Interpreting the Masters, Volume 2: A Tribute to Van Halen. They also performed “Ain’t Talkin’ ’Bout Love” from the album on The Late Late Show with James Corden with Dave Grohl joining in on drums.

Amazon Music listeners can find The Bird And The Bee’s “You Shook Me All Night Long” on the  Pop Lab playlist. Customers can simply ask, “Alexa play the Amazon Original by The Bird And The Bee” in the Amazon Music app for iOS and Android and on Alexa-enabled devices. In addition to the new track, Amazon Music listeners can access hundreds of Amazon Originals featuring both emerging and established artists across numerous genres, available to stream and purchase only on Amazon Music.
