VIDEO PREMIERE: Pine Barons Drop Eccentric Hazy Psych Rock On “The Adult”

Mirage on the Meadow is the sophomore release from Philadelphia-based Pine Barons, a record consisting of ten of the band’s most honest and emotionally evocative songs. Written by frontman and multi-instrumentalist, Keith Abrams, the album explores themes of feeling like time is running out, longing for love and death’s inevitability. A psychedelic amalgamation of graveyard shifting indie rock, Mirage on the Meadow is full of the dread we all experience living our daily lives while retaining a cautious optimism that propels its rich, colorful sound towards a brighter future.

Mirage on the Meadow, is by nature a more insular effort, as all ten songs were written by frontman and multi-instrumentalist, Keith Abrams, who began to explore themes of feeling like time is running out, longing for love and death’s inevitability. The album is a psychedelic amalgamation of graveyard shifting indie rock – full of the dread we all experience living our daily lives while retaining a cautious optimism that propels its rich, colorful sound towards a brighter future.

Glide is proud to premiere the video for “The Adult” a punctuating blast of psych indie that twists disarming melodies of Modest Mouse and big voiced rock of Muse. Pine Barons offer a hazy trippy look into their inner psyche with this visual artifact that complements this wonderous musical offering.

“I wanted “The Adult” to feel like drifting in and out of a [fever] dream, but also playful and through a slightly manic lens, looking out from the point of view of your childhood self,” says Pine Barons’ Keith Abrams.
