Ben and Michael Ford formed Airpark in 2017 in Nashville. Since its inception, Airpark has released several singles and EPs, from their first single “All The Time” to EPs of their “early works”, released in two separate volumes. Alaina Moore and Patrick Riley of the band Tennis produced their 2018 EP Songs of Airpark. Following the release of that EP, the band toured in support of St. Lucia, with whom they recorded their latest single.
Airpark gives us a passionate and musically uplifting new single, “D Y W,” featuring South African powerhouse songstress St. Lucia. “D Y W,” moves with buoyant euphoria on a delicious and passionate melodic journey.
“D Y W,” aka “Do You Wanna” digs into the uneasiness of a fading relationship. The last moments of codependence as one is trying to break away from a cycle of stagnant and unhealthy repetition. A question we all have asked ourselves when the doors to a relationship are closing: Will we ever be friends again? Produced by St. Lucia’s Jean-Philip Grobler, we can expect Airpark’s 5th release, a 5-track EP Winter 2021.
