LISTEN: LA Duo CADEAUX Hit Synth Pop Payday on Catchy New Single “Bad”

CADEAUX is the new collaborative indie-pop project from Los Angeles natives Briana Lane and Darian Zahedi. Lane is half of indie duo Winslow and Zahedi is in CRX and Nick Valensi (The Strokes) solo project since 2015. The name CADEAUX comes from the French word for “gifts” and was the original last name of Lane’s great grandfather.

Check out CADEAUX’s thumpin’ new single, “Bad” (below) where tasteful and creative synthesizers thread their way through the track as a rock-solid bassline hits you in the chest. Vocalist Lane effortlessly navigates the crest of a thick and grooving instrumental via  Zahedi. “Bad” is an 80’s inspired synth-pop number void of cheap tricks and over polished production, a fun dance track that conjures images of Blondie jamming with Arcade Fire.

“Bad is about someone’s desire to push themselves past what’s comfortable and out into the unknown,” describes the duo.
