LISTEN: Austin’s Feng Suave Keep ’70s Musical Decors Ready Via “Unweaving The Rainbow Forever”

Amsterdam-based psych-pop meets soul outfit Feng Suave consists of Daniel De Jong and Daniel Leonard Elvis. Together they make music reminiscent of bygone times when vocals were drowned in reverb and instruments were seemingly recorded underwater. The soulful vocal melodies, alluding to the 60s and 70s, and punchy bass lines make for a warm, psychedelic deluge of airwaves embellished with dreamy effects.

Check out the colorful psychedelic folk ballad, “Unweaving The Rainbow Forever” from Feng Suave. Built on a warm atmosphere of low-end cushion and guitar shading, “Unweaving The Rainbow Forever” brings an orchestral fullness that is purely AM Gold in all the best ways.

“For this release, we decided to record analogue to tape. This was a first for us and provided a nice change from our previous recording experiences which often involved overdubbing every instrument onto a digital grid, and this provided us an opportunity to capture a raw and dense sound,” says the band.
