Primus Serve Up Rush’s ‘A Farewell to Kings’ at Denver’s Mission Ballroom (PHOTOS)

After several Covid related postponements, Primus finally rocked their way into Denver to play a two-night run at The Mission Ballroom on October 21st. The trio has been saying its long goodbye to Neil Peart with its own unique version of 1977’s A Farewell to Kings.

The first set was filled with old-school original Primus tracks including the show opener “Those Damned Blue-Collar Tweekers,” “Wynona’s Big Brown Beaver,” and set closer “Shake Hands With Beef.” After a short 15 minute set break, the band came ready to rumble as Les Claypool donned a silk kimono and made it like it was 44 years ago.
