Tool today (March 1) released a reimagined version of the 1992 song, “Opiate,” now dubbed “Opiate,2“ with audio on streaming platforms and announced a planned Blu-Ray-only “visual companion” available on March 18. Check out the track below…

Guitarist Adam Jones and visual artist Dominic Hailstone (“Alien: The Covenant”) worked on the 10-minute-plus film, which marks Tool’s first new video since “Vicarious” in 2007. Jones and Hailstone also collaborated on the filmed pieces fans get to see during Tool’s current Fear Inoculum tour.

Also being released with the new Blu-ray disc is a 46-page art book with photos of the making of the video shoot for “Opiate2“ and will include insights and interviews with “special guests.”
