VIDEO PREMIERE: The Black Moods Bust Out Big Riffs & Hooks On Anthemic “Saturday Night”

Make no mistake about it-The Black Moods are true to form “rock band” in its most 70’s refined essence. This three-piece band consisting of vocalist and guitarist Josh Kennedy, bassist Jordan Hoffman and drummer Chico Diaz don’t mess around with trends or gimmicks- it’s clearly rock footed in the vein of Bad Company, Tesla, and Gin Blossoms-where contagious choruses, biting riffs, and hydraulic drumming creates an aura of unrestrained blues-based rock. Despite their ominous name, our serious world needs more of The Black Moods to help keep the edge off.

Glide is premiering the video for the second track “Saturday Night: taken from their upcoming third album Into the Night due June 3 via Wit Hustle / The Orchard / Steelhorse Entertainment. It was recorded by Grammy-nominated producer Johnny K. (Disturbed, 3 Doors Down, Plush) who the band previously worked with on their acclaimed 2020 sophomore album Sunshine.

Filmed at their local venue, Rockbar, in Scottsdale, AZ, the clip rips with fiery guitar rock ethos that is undeniably raw and anthemic.

“It came out of one of our late night jam,” shares front man Josh Kennedy. “The groove had such a push to it, it felt like a Saturday Night to us. Once we got in the studio with Johnny K, everything really fell into place and came together lyrically. Everyone usually looks forward to Saturday Night,’ don’t they?”
