Robert Walter Brings Along Heavy-Hitters for Sold-out Portland Performance (PHOTOS/RECAP)

Fresh from Jazz Fest, Robert Walter returned to the West Coast for a pair of sold-out shows in the Pacific Northwest, hitting Portland’s Star Theater on Saturday, May 14th. Seattle and Portland both had the pleasure of hosting Walter over the past weekend. The founding member of the Greyboy Allstars enlisted some fellow improvisational virtuosos to join him. The lineup consisted of Stanton Moore on drums, Andy Coe on guitar, and Skerik on saxophone along with Walter on keyboards. The likelihood that this group of musicians would create an epic night of music made tickets to Saturday’s sold-out Portland show the most sought-after in recent memory.

Andy Coe pulled double duty, playing guitar with Seattle’s McTuff to open the show, along with Joe Doria on keys and Targlik Orbluzoid on drums.

Peruse photos of the Portland performance below, and be sure to check out Better Feathers, Walter’s new album that came together during the pandemic and employed an even longer list of talented friends.
