WATCH: Eddie Vedder Join The Strokes For “Juicebox” In Seattle

The Red Hot Chili Peppers have been on tour playing cavernous facilities in support of their latest album Unlimited Love and their reunion with guitarist John Frusciante. They have had a rotation of openers since the tour kicked off in late March, and the likes of Beck and Thundercat have graced the stage before the funky pop rock veterans as they’ve toured in almost every city in the U.S. and Europe. Last night (August 3rd) at T-Mobile Park in Seattle, The Strokes joined the long list of openers on this massive outing and they were joined by a fellow figurehead in the aught rock community.

Pearl Jam’s Eddie Vedder joined Julian Casablancas and company on stage during the band’s opening set. The charismatic frontman harmonized with Casablancas as the band ripped through “Juicebox”, a cut from their 2006 album. Vedder had just gotten back from a short run of shows with Pearl Jam in Europe himself before he ended up at the Chili Peppers show.

The Strokes will be opening for the Chili Peppers until mid-August, joining Thundercat along the way. The Chili Peppers recently announced their second double LP in the last year, Return of The Dream Canteen will be available worldwide on October 14.
