LISTEN: SeepeopleS Keep Its Eclectic Charm Alive On Riveting “This Dying World”

SeepeopleS now call  Portland, ME home after relocating from Asheville, NC and Boston.  Over a span of 16 years, SeepeopleS has played 47 states and over 1400 shows, including sharing the stage with acts like Death Cab for Cutie, Franz Ferdinand, Kula Shaker Cracker, Blues Traveler, GZA, De La Soul, Ben Harper to name a very short few.

On “This Dying World” self-described “anti-genre” indie veterans SeepeopleS capture the muted dread and shared resignation of the human race as we try and live out our daily lives while our home planet sprints towards its inevitable destruction. The string section reminds one of the sinking Titanic while psychedelic, distorted vocals conjure up an even more cynical Sgt. Pepper’s era John Lennon. And just like the disconnect in the world today, in spite of this dark description of the song, in the end, it’s still somehow a lot of fun.

The track features guest musicians Dana Colley (Morphine, Vapors Of Morphine) & Devon Colella (QUAD). The music was produced by SeepeopleS & Will Holland at Chillhouse Studios in Boston, MA and the music video was created by multimedia artist Sparxsea.  SeepeopleS upcoming full-length album, Field Guide For Survival In This Dying World, is out October 7th via RascalZ RecordZ.
