Justin Tipton is an American singer-songwriter and musician. Candid and authentic, Justin was born and raised in Dallas, Texas. Drawing on his admiration for country, rock, blues, and folk music, with a heartfelt tip of the hat to Tom Petty, Steve Earle, and Lynyrd Skynyrd, Justin leans into a confessional style of songwriting with grit and humor and perhaps an ounce or two of regret. “I always used music to express myself – what I’m thinking and how I’m feeling. Now I write how I’m feeling and try to make it rhyme”

Tipton’s new album Burn These Bridges will be released March 10th, 2023.

Produced and mixed by John Pedigo (Old 97’s, Vandoliers, Joshua Ray Walker) at Modern Electric in Dallas, Tx, and mastered by Fred Kevorkian in Brooklyn, NYC, Justin Tipton & The Troublemakers bring the primal push and drive of true Southern Rock. With a collection of distinctive songs that pack a serious punch, and a voice that oozes heartbreak and desire, Justin Tipton fronts a well-oiled machine of a band featuring Sawyer McGee on drums, Josh Vaughn slinging guitar, Jesse Thompson on bass and background vocals, Chris Watson and Chad Stockslager sharing duties on all things keyboard. Burn These Bridges by Justin Tipton & The Troublemakers is a record that “lights the fuse.”

Today Glide is offering an exclusive premiere of “Some Days” ahead of its November 1st release. Written during Covid and finished in the studio with his band The Troublemakers, the tune is a coping strategy for the 21st century. Kicking off with laid back vocals and simple musicianship, “Some Days” serves as an anthem for dealing with the hardships that life throws your way with a soundtrack that brings together country-rock and a folk sensibility. Infectious harmonies and emotionally-stirring instrumentals – not to mention Tipton’s soulful voice – come together to make this a song that speaks to our troubled times while offering a sliver or hope.

Tipton describes the inspiration behind the tune:

“I wrote ‘Some Days’ in the middle of a panic attack during COVID. It seemed like one day I would feel optimistic about the world and getting to work again soon and the next day I would feel gloom and doom. So it’s essentially a reassurance song I wrote to myself, but I thought other people who deal with anxiety might be able to resonate with the feeling.”
