Blur Reuniting For One Night Only Wembley Stadium London Show

For the first time since 2015, Britpop legends Blur will reunite for one night only on their home turf at Wembley Stadium on July 8th, 2023. Despite a one-off reunion set back in 2019 when frontman Damon Albarn surprised fans during his set at an African Express event with a three-song performance from Blur, the band has been on the backburner for some years now. Their last tour was in support of their last album, 2015’s The Magic Whip, although there is no sign of new music or more shows to come after their 2023 show.

2023 is shaping up to be a big year for Albarn and the rest of Blur. Albarn’s animated band Gorillaz are set to release their new album, Cracker Island in February, Graham Coxon will be releasing an album with his band The WAEVE, while drummer Dave Rowntree will be stepping out on his own for the first time with his solo debut, Radio Songs

Blur will not be going into their Wembley reunion show alone. Openers for the show include Slowthai, Jockstrap, and Self Esteem. Tickets will go on sale November 18th local time via Ticketmaster. Check out the band’s announcement for the show below:
