As the former front man for the college rock outfit 28 and Waiting, Jeff Tuohy offers warm pop versatility with his debut album Breaking Down the Silence. The debut, produced by Aaron Katz (Percy Hill), surfaces with the radio pop of Jason Mraz mingled with the more introspective songwriting of Mason Jennings. And though the album feels more suitable for top 40 playlists than hip singer-songwriter coffee shop, there is still a serving for everyone.
