Enumclaw Bring Big Indie Rock Sounds to Washington D.C. (PHOTOS)

Touring in promotion of their 2022 debut full-length album Save the Baby, Washington state indie rock outfit Enumclaw visited the nation’s capital last Thursday, March 23rd, playing to a packed DC9 nightclub and demonstrating why this quartet has already generated so much buzz since coming together in 2019. Enumclaw, which playfully claims to be “the best band since Oasis,” saw its first self-released track, “Fast N All,” unexpectedly featured across music outlets in early 2021, bringing the group widespread popularity before it had even played an official gig. And though the pandemic prevented its members from fully leveraging that exposure, the release of Save The Baby in October of last year has helped Enumclaw quickly make up for lost time. The group has now toured across Europe and, on its current swing through the states, made important appearances at SXSW 2023 just before heading east. Based not in Enumclaw but in nearby Tacoma, the flourishing band consists of vocalist and guitar Aramis Johnson, guitarist Nathan Cornell, drummer Ladaniel Gipson and bassist Eli Edwards.
