Indio, California is home to some of the biggest music festivals and it looks like there is a dark cloud looming over the sunny city. Goldenvoice, an event company and the people behind 2016’s classic rock festival Desert Trip are looking to expand on the aforementioned festival’s heritage with the recently hinted Power Trip festival. While nothing is set in stone as of right now, a slew of legendary heavy metal and hard rock bands have been teasing their involvement with Power Trip via social media posts that has the mysterious festival gearing up to be one of the biggest of the year.
This all started when the official Power Trip Twitter account tweeted out a trailer for their upcoming festival. That same trailer was tweeted out by acts like Ozzy Osbourne, Metallica, AC/DC, Iron Maiden, and Tool, seemingly confirming their appearances at the festival. While all this speculation seems like a lot we won’t have to wait long for answers as the official Power Trip line-up is set to be revealed tomorrow (3/30). If AC/DC is on the lineup, this will mark the band’s first show they have announced in seven years. You can see the tweets from the individual bands below;
