Wild & Precious Life is set to release on July 14 via Royal Potato Family and will feature appearances from the likes of Marcus King and Derek Trucks. “Waiting On A Song” is perfect for your next extended car ride as the country crooner fits just enough personality into this country-tinged track to bring these lyrics and chords to life.
Squid – “Undergrowth”
O Monolith
Along with a playable video game to promote this single, Squid is gearing up for a busy year that will bleed into 2024. The post-punk heroes announced their new album, O Monolith (out June 9 via Warp Records) earlier this year to a barrage of excitement. “Undergrowth” is our latest look into the LP and features more of the band’s unique take on post-punk while seemingly reinventing themselves to provide a prog-rock-style song with masterful instrumentation and psychedelic tendencies.
Durand Jones – “Sadie”
Wait Til I Get Over
Another unbelievably exciting debut is on the horizon and this time it is from the soulful Durand Jones. After a decade of fine-tuning his debut, Jones is set to release Wait Til I Get Over on May 5 via the good people at Dead Oceans. If you’re not already on the edge of your seat for Jones’ debut record, the single “Sadie” will put you in the right head space for the soulful crooning and expert storytelling. His signature rasp occupies enough space to fill a stadium as Jones’ vocals sway over a minimal yet hard-hitting instrumental.

After nine studio albums, Rancid is still not tired of providing us with neck-breaking tempos. The legendary punk gods have announced their 10th(!) studio album, Tomorrow Never Comes is set to release on June 2 and is produced by longtime collaborator and Epitaph Founder Brett Gurewitz. The title track will be playing the role of our lead single and it’s a real return to form for Rancid as they weave in the perfect amount of classic Randic attitude while still showing growth from the storied band.
