VIDEO PREMIERE: Bailey Bigger Gives It Up For The Natural State On Rootsy “Arkansas Is Nice”

If the name “Bailey Bigger” alone doesn’t make one stop and listen, perhaps it’s the achingly tender vocals from the up-and-coming Americana artist. There is a genuine artistry that tops the righteous vocals on Ms. Bailey Bigger, that avoids any cowboy hat or trendy Nashville get-up, in favor of a twangy delivery rooted in ’70 singer-songwriter sensibilities.

Bigger group up in Marion, Arkansas, just outside of Memphis, Tennessee and began writing and performing seriously in Memphis at the age of 14. Since then, she’s gone on to share stages and festival lineups with acts like The Avett Brothers, Sierra Ferrell, Sturgill Simpson, and many more. Bailey released her debut EP with Oxford-based label, Big Legal Mess in 2020, “Let’s Call it Love.” Bailey’s debut full-length album, Coyote Red was released with Madjack Records in March and is available on all streaming platforms.

Glide is premiering the video for “Arkansas Is Nice,” which might very well be something she can hawk in front of the state’s tourism bureau. Heck, if The Flaming Lips own Oklahoma with “Do You Realize?” then this song is stamped with making “The Natural State” a destination – or a worthwhile drive-thru on the way back from Music City USA. For those that never gave Arkansas a chance, here’s its newest soundtrack that very well might be called “catchy AF”

“The most important thing to me when making this music video was that I wanted to use real faces from Arkansas. I wanted to include actual friends and family from my life growing up in Marion. After we gathered the crew, the rest almost fell into place. Josh and Mica (videographers) and I chose to create an on-screen version of a time capsule of my current life here in Arkansas and it couldn’t be more beautiful,” says Bigger.
