From top to bottom, the track is built sturdy, with tangible low-end drive from producer Ben Hillier and effortlessly intoxicating vocals from Juanita Stein. Lyrically the song is a joy as well, blending poetic discipline and a rock n’ roll agenda like the Yeah Yeah Yeahs.
“Einz Zwei Drei Martini” started with the drum part and came together in a matter of hours. Every track on the album had a ridiculous working title from Dan Crook, our engineer (Boss of Boring, Professional Raincoat, Broken Bagel Bits etc.) This was the only title we couldn’t replace,” says Hillier.
