Get your summer classic rock ya ya’s out with the new riff-heavy, Big Star-inspired banger from Jersey up-and-coming rockers Fat Mezz. These guys are ready to bring rock and roll to the people – seriously their summer schedule has them playing seven nights a week pretty much for the foreseeable future. With their debut EP Fat Mezz Loves Cooter under their belt, the band shows no sign of slowing down, so keep on the lookout for a Fat Mezz party in a town near you.
“Pretty Blonde Noose” was written by one of their guitarists, Kurt Foster, and features lead vocals from bassist Dom Levy. “We recorded the EP in 3 sessions after working 5 nights a week and had to get it all done before the summer really started where we play 6-7 days a week with doubles. It was crucial because getting a vocal track before the summer started because vocal health can’t be maintained playing almost every day but even with that the vocal of “Pretty Blonde Noose” was recorded after singing 5 nights straight at gigs with no rest adding to the rawness factor of the song,” says the band.
