LISTEN: Helenor Throws Down Alluring Bedroom Dream Pop On “Bad2”

Although Brooklyn-based bedroom pop project Helenor has recently expanded into a full band line-up, songwriter David DiAngelis shows off just how a single person can create a captivating and engaging three-minute burst of compressed bliss. Written and recorded almost entirely in his bedroom, DiAngelis later brought the song to Vishal Nayak (Nick Hakim, Empress Of) to complete the sentence on drums, resulting in a hook-laden indie earworm that’ll keep those headphones on for a repeat listen. The full-length album A Public Place is out on Jan. 26, 2024.

“This is a soundtrack for pretending you have the ability to be present,” DiAngelis says of the new single. “Bad2″ is a ball and a chain and a weighted walk through a vitamin D-soaked summer day,” says DiAngelis.
