From college dropout to world traveler to commercial deep sea diver, from touring musician to socially minded entrepreneur, Billy Keane’s path has been a winding one, and one which he has experienced through the eyes of a singer-songwriter of a unique kind.
Keane’s musical legacy has taken him to festivals all over the country, and he has had the honor of sharing the stage with household names like James Taylor, Yo Yo Ma, The Gin Blossoms, Blues Traveler, and most recently Molly Tuttle & The Golden Highway. Keane’s upcoming record, “Oh, These Days” is due out in September 2023.

“I wrote “bathing in the light” after waking from a dream about a person dear to me, but with whom I don’t have much contact these days. I was filled with a deep sense of missing; a painful thing. But that sense, like so many other mind-driven struggles, was contained within a deeper recognition of a constant state of natural connectedness, a natural flow. Somehow that recognition softened the edges of that sadness, and revealed the finite outlines of the feeling, showing it to be a thing passing through the greater story, as opposed to be the story itself. Bathing in the light is the distillation of that,” says Keane.
