Depeche Mode Bring Pulsing Dance Soundtrack to Austin’s Moody Center (PHOTOS)

On Friday, September 29th, synth-pop legends Depeche Mode played in front of a packed Moody Center in Austin as part of their ongoing world tour in support of their 15th studio album, Memento Mori. Giving the crowd a sprawling two plus hour set, Dave Gahan and Martin Gore led the band through a thumping, pulsing series of songs that included cuts off their new album as well as classics like “Enjoy the Silence” and “Just Can’t Get Enough.” Gahan strutted and danced around the stage tirelessly while Gore stalked around behind him, alternating between guitars, keys, and even some lead vocals. An opening act was provided by Brooklyn indie rockers DIIV.
