It is hard to believe The Jesus and Mary Chain have released mind-altering, off-kilter pop music for 40 years. It is even harder to believe they are still finding different nuances of their artistry to alter so every release from the band is unique, creating a snowflake-style discography to explore. The band is adding to that discography with Glasgow Eyes, their freshly announced album set to be released on March 8 via Fuzz Club. The band also released the lead single “jamcod” to celebrate the announcement and it is brimming with the unfiltered electronics the band is known for.
Glasgow Eyes follows their 2017 LP Damage and Joy, the highest charting album in over twenty years. The celebration of their 40th will continue into 2024 as the band plans to release an autobiography and bring their new LP on the road with an extensive tour across the UK and Europe. Fans who pre-order Glasgow Eyes before 10 am this Friday (December 1) will get priority access to tour tickets. You can pre-order the album here.
