LISTEN: The Problem With The Kids Today Flaunt Punk Fervor On “All I Wanna Be”

The Problem With Kids Today is readying their new album and the fourth and final single might be their best work yet. “All I Wanna Be” is a thrashing single with cartoonishly passionate vocals and infectious guitar tones that combine for a whimsical sonic journey lined with youth and gusto. The punk fervor whipped up by the arrangement is only emphasized by the scratchy vocals that penetrate the controlled chaos of the whole track. “All I Wanna Be” has that nostalgic punk energy without being a carbon copy of their influences, creating a unique cross-section of the genre’s history and the young band’s bright future.

“This is our fourth and final single from our debut album, Born To Rock,” says Silas Lourenco “It continues to highlight the depth of creativity and musical acumen the band possesses, there’s a lot more fun to be had when our album releases on February 9th.” Loucernco continues, “‘All I Wanna Be’ is a perfect showcase of what The Kids are capable of in the studio. The trio – flanked by a bombastic orchestra of synths, organs, and 12-string guitars – gallop through this heartfelt tune. Starting with a beautiful Chamberlain crescendo, crashing down immediately into a tight rhythm enveloped by the familiar arms of a 12-string Rickenbacker 360.”
