It is that time of year again; the weather begins to get warmer, the air feels fresher, and an entire slew of new releases are getting prepped for Record Store Day. The annual celebration of independent record stores brings out stars from across genres and decades as they come together to curate exclusive releases to celebrate the occasion. The first RSD of 2024 takes place worldwide this Saturday (April 20), and the list of releases is as expansive and diverse as ever. Every year brings a long list of releases that span from classics being reissued to live performances being cemented on wax for the first time in their recorded history. Everyone from young pop acts to veteran country icons participate, making Record Store Day a day for pure music nerds to physically hold some of their favorite music ever, possibly for the first time.
The list of releases causes just as much celebration as the day itself, and shifting through all those exclusive vinyl can become daunting. Glide has done the heavy work and selected 25 of our most anticipated releases for 2024’s Record Store Day, check out our selections below.

Primus/Ween/Geddy Lee/Alex Lifeson – South Park 25th Anniversary – RSD First

Recorded during their historic shows at Red Rocks, the creators of the show are joined by Primus, Ween, and Rush’s Geddy Lee and Alex Lifeson performing classics from the long-running TV series.
