Seattle’s Bumbershoot Arts and Music Festival will return for the 51st year this Labor Day Weekend (Aug 31 – September 1). Today, the festival has revealed its dynamic 2024 programming, including an iconic music lineup featuring Pavement, James Blake, Courtney Barnett, Freddie Gibbs, and more, curated by returning Bumbershoot veteran talent buyer Chris Porter, who helmed the festival’s lineup from 1997 to 2016. At the center of the festival is Bumbershoot’s robust Visual Arts program, which will feature a brand new Animation District. As always, Bumbershoot will spotlight exemplary Culinary Arts offerings from more than 50 different Pacific Northwest-focused restaurants, wineries, and breweries.
Bumbershoot is held in the heart of the city on Seattle Center’s sprawling 74-acre urban campus. With a half-century of rich history, Bumbershoot has been at the vanguard of artistic innovation, showcasing established luminaries and emerging talents who have later skyrocketed to stardom. One of the longest-running independent festivals in the world, the event will this year continue its long tradition of offering a little something for everyone, with a uniquely Pacific Northwest point of view.
